finding the strength

Over the past two weeks, I've been taking my final IB exams. In short, they're basically a different version of A Levels. But they're really not. Before these exams started, I hadn't taken one in two years. The IB doesn't have modules. Instead, we take exams for all six (yes, six) subjects across two weeks at the end of the two year course. I am fortunate, as I took Art and so had one less set of exams to contend with - I only have twelve on my timetable in comparison with the fourteen or fifteen of other people.

Anyway, I've been really struggling with history pretty much the entire way through the past two years and was completely freaking out about having to take five hours' worth of history exams. On the day of my first two history exams, I came across a certain post quite by chance on Instagram and it really jumped out at me. It read "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). It really gave me a boost, and made me believe in myself, and I've kind of turned it into my mantra for this exam period. When I have been struggling in exams, since, I've thought of that and soldiered on. I may not achieve a brilliant result, but I know that, whatever the result is, I've tried my hardest. And if things don't turn out the way I'd like, then I know that everything happens for a reason and, whatever happens, I'll find a way through.
