the 2015 playlist

I started this series in order to actually put some content out on this blog after it lost its way a little, and I'm so glad that I did. I've loved curating these playlists over the past year and I think it has led me on to some pretty cool things. I wanted to create a 'best of' playlist of sorts, choosing my favourite song from each month (save for my birthday throwback and Christmas special), but I never realised just how much I'd regret it. I chose the songs on each monthly playlist because I love them, so it was tough to pick just one from each - this was hands down the hardest playlist to put together. I do, however, think that what I've created is a playlist that's fairly representative of my year in music. Inevitably, there are some artists and songs that I'm really sad I can't include, but I had to be ruthless and so pretty much went with my first instinct. It's still a pretty damn good playlist, even if I say so myself - there's some big songs on there. I hope that you've enjoyed listening to this year's playlist offerings as much as I've enjoyed curating them. I have no idea whether I'll continue this into 2016, because it's going to be a pretty important year in my life - the final six months of uni, hopefully starting my first ever job, and goodness knows what else - but it may continue to be a little bit of a break from the madness and the only thing keeping this blog the tiniest bit alive. Have a wonderful start to 2016; lets hope its musical offerings are as incredible and varied as those of 2015.
